Ethereal, Nature-Inspired Art + Encaustic Workshops

Large abstract tree encaustic painting with soft green, orange and yellow

Bring home more than just art,

bring home a story.

Explore the beauty of the natural world, layered with meaning and connection. Each piece is crafted to ignite your senses, inspire your soul, and transform your space into a haven of beauty and reflection. Created to speak to your heart and enrich your world.

I’m at Schack for the Fresh Paint 2025 art festival showing off encaustic techniques from 10am-3Pm on August 16th and 17th.

I’ll be demonstrating encaustic painting techniques, monotype printing on the hot palette, and how to embed collage elements with wax for luminous results. Work on site will be available for purchase.

Stop by Schack Art Center and try your hand at this ancient and amazingly versatile medium.

Current Work

The stoic stillness of trees juxtaposed with the restless hum of modern life.

A grid of abstract encaustic collages with a leaf motif. Green, blue and browns with pops of orange.

Tracking time—through seasons, daily routines, and the big events.

Small works on paper bursting with color and energy.

Let Your Art Shine:
Capture Photos That Speak for You

You pour your heart into your art, but does your photography truly honor its essence? If you’ve ever found yourself saying, “The colors aren’t quite right—it’s more teal than blue,” you’re not alone.

Your art deserves to be seen in its full glory. Whether you’re submitting to galleries, answering calls for art, or creating prints and promotional materials, great photos can make all the difference.

In this hands-on video class, I’ll share my 30+ years of photography experience to help you create images that do your work justice. Using simple, affordable tools—like LED lighting—you’ll learn step-by-step techniques to capture your art accurately and beautifully.

Say goodbye to frustration and hello to confidence. Let your photos tell the story of your art, so you can focus on what you do best: creating.

Why settle for just pretty when you can have art with heart?

Bring joy, meaning, and a touch of nature’s magic to your space—perfect for your walls and your soul.
